We pioneer in production of reinforced concrete detail drawings to Standards using design information from our clients. We follow the relevant standards and best practice. This includes documents such Standard Method of Detailing Structural Concrete and the North American Concrete Institute’s Details and Detailing of Concrete Reinforcement. We do all our detailing using CADS-RC and RebarCAD software which has been specifically developed for the UK, US and Canadian markets and have experience in both building structures and civil works (bridges and roads). The bar bending schedules are produced automatically from the drawings, reducing the likelihood of errors in transferring information from drawing to schedule and allowing changes to be made easily. Our drawings and schedules are customized with our client's title block and logo and graphic preferences.

Canadian Reinforce Steel drawings prepared with CADS-RC or RebarCAD can be read by anyone with Autocad software. Bar bending schedules can be issued as PDF files, Excel files (which allow you to make changes later) and SDI files, which can be used electronically in the manufacturing process.

Installation

Competent and hard working field crews install reinforcing steel to your specification from beginning to end. We give you a complete price for installation so there are no surprises. All installation accessories are included in one price--the price we quote.

Detailing Services

To start detailing, we need the following from our clients:

• Structural General Arrangement drawings (GA's) as Autocad 2005 or earlier versions.
• Microstation files should be converted to Autocad (.dwg). This should include all plans, sections and details, and a .ctb file if special graphic conventions are requested.
• Concrete pour layout if more than one pour per floor
• Reinforcement Detailing Instructions (RDI) from the engineer, either as sketches, A4 calculations sheets, marked-up copies of the GA's or output from a design software package. Normally, our clients issue
• We ask our clients to fill in a Project Briefing Sheet, a form asking for general information on the project such as which codes or practices we should follow, project specifics such as kicker height, minimum cover, maximum length of bars available on site and what communication procedures you like us to follow
